Wild deal - couldn't resist the ugly camo. Just to make it clear - there's no difference between the camo and non-camo versions of the EX5s bike with the 22" screen besides the color. Speaking of that - I'm interested in seeing how the camo is applied. Vinyl wrap? Paint?

Not per the descriptions and some of the black/red one photos. If. These are not the same bike it seems. No mention of magnetic resistance on camo one but I assume it has it with the big screen. Never know for sure with Woot. See my other reply above.

There are slight differences. The handle under the seat is different. Charging port on black/red version. Also the weight and dimensions per your post. These are mentioned in black/red one description. Can see different seat handle in photos but not all the photos are the same model for the black/red one. The black/red one is also battery powered Probably not worth the increase.
Interesting. I do see the seat handle difference now that you point that out. If you check out my links to echelon, there is the same discrepancy as well, even on the same model and page. Also, by the way, I got an email back from their customer service (because I gave 2 stars out of 5 for their response) and here is what they said

Good afternoon Glenn,

and thank you for contacting the Echelon Fitness support team! We appreciate your interest in the Echelon EX-5s Connect Bikes.

I wanted to confirm some details regarding the specifications amongst the variants of the Echelon EX-5s Connect Bike, including the Mossy Oak Edition.

The current specifications listed on the Mossy Oak Edition webpage are unfortunately incorrect, and our web team has been notified accordingly. I sincerely apologize for this error, and any confusion it may have caused during your shopping experiance. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

The specifcations listed on the following webpage - https://echelonfit.com/products/e...ke-ex5s-22 (the standard edition Echelon EX-5s Connect Bike) are shared with the Mossy Oak Edition. Both models feature the exact-same frame size and build.

Echelon EX-5s Connect Bike Specifications : 124 lb / 58" x 21.5" x 61"

The Mossy Oak Edition does feature a unique pattern/design and is considered a limited-edition product. It does function all the same as our standard edition Echelon EX-5s Connect Bike.

If you have any further questions regarding these Connect Bikes, please do let me know. It would be a pleasure to help.

Thank you, and have a fantastic day!

That's just Echelon's poor proofreading. Notice how on the camo one it also says "DEVICE HOLDER Holds Devices from 2.5" to 12.9" + Flips 180°" - something that was meant for a bike without a screen. Echelon didn't re-engineer an entire bike just to put a camo decal on it. I don't see any physical differences in the pictures either - the seat handle in one of them is just positioned to the left instead of straight down.

The one with the different handle is also battery powered. It could be a newer 5s model?

Torn between ex3 and the ex5 w/ screen. Apparently there is no tablet holder for this ex5 model. The included tablet could be hacked but it seems like a pain in the ass to do and there are reports of people bricking it. There is a VESA mount adapter sold on Etsy for $60. The ex3 has a tablet holder but the ex5 has more comfortable handlebar and better seat adjustment.

You missed the point, but otherwise, sure, if running with a bag of rocks is the same to you.
No, I got the point. Long term reliability though simplified design.
You didn't get my point though.
The bells and whistles on the exercise equipment is what gives a lot of people the motivation to get into the exercise routine by keeping things fresh and exciting. When someone is motivated enough they don't need any equipment at all to stay fit. Most of us need help though.

If you don't want to use the included screen, you can just not mount it and then use any standard 100x100 VESA mounted tablet holder, like this VIVO one which is only $25: https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Unive...B08LL73T31

That one on Etsy was designed for the EX5 which is different than the EX5s. Check out assembly instructions for EX5s and you'll see it has the VESA 100x100 bracket at the top of the post.

I'd like to know this as well. I think a lot of us are interested in the EX5s but holding back because of actual use (or lack there of) of 22" screen if no monthly subscription?
Looks like it will show bike metrics without a subscription. Resistance etc. I'm leaning towards the GT+. The YouTube review I saw showed an iPad used for classes and an iPhone mounted below with the metrics app.

Any opinions on GT+ vs EX3? I think I rather just use a tablet and whatever app I want rather than deal with messing with their locked down screen.
Based on D9999's post, and also watching a few youtube videos, I went with the GT+. EX3 seems like an older version, it's not even available on the Echelon site anymore.

And now that I think about it I wonder if using split screen/multitasking/pip on the iPad would allow you to run both the metrics app and your fitness app at the same time?

People say that EX5 has auto resistance. Does the auto resistance require the 22" display device? Is it electrically connected so that that app on the display device will control the resistance as you are moving through virtual environment on screen? Like going up virtual hills, etc..?

I have EX15, it is an older version of GT+. I think EX3 has a heavier flywheel than GT+. Heavier flywheel will have a better momentum.
