Did this last time and got a $40 off of $40 coupon in the mail like 5 days later. When the red card came in, I just cut it up and never used it.

Why? If you pay it off every month you get 5% of all your purchases at Target.

Apparently we can't do it more than once. I cancelled my previous Reloadable account last year. Just tried signing up again and it said I was ineligible.

I do not think any credit card is worth opening for $40 . There are much better credit cards. Unless you dont care about having too many credit cards. Even Amazon, waiting for it to be back at $150

FYI this coupon is only applicable to Target.com sold items. Opened a few accounts to use the coupon for some raised garden beds and none applied to products outside of one's sold directly by target.

You don't need to open a credit card. Debit card qualifies.

Also the reloadable card. Signed up for it and never activated or used it.
