Just as a heads up, although you can unlock these immediately with an ebay code, they don't work on every network. From personal experience, it's a no go on Verizon or any of its MVNOs. However, it will work on cricket/AT&T prepaid and T-Mobile or its MVNOs.

Edit: For additional context, I tried it with already activated and working sims (from an S22U) on US Mobile, Visible, and a Verizon Prepaid sim. I could make calls, use data, but couldn't send texts. Support for all of them confirmed with me that this model wasn't compatible (despite it having the same model number as an unlocked phone from Moto's website).

anyone able to checkout with $15plan? pls advise

for people complaining about RAM, they can increase RAM by 1 GB to make it 5GB usable allocation

goto settings - system -RAM Boost -Enable 1GB extra RAM allocation here. This step swaps 1GB space from your 128GB and allocate as RAM virtual swap memory , with all Motorola devices from 2022 onwards we are able to increase RAM.
Edge+ 2022 gives 2GB extra swap allocation to make it total 10GB
Moto G base model gives 0.5 GB or 512MB of extra RAM as well.

Please thank me for revealing this trick

Grabbed a few during the first deal. This has been a solid phone for my secondary line which is Freeup/At&t. The fact that these can be unlocked immediately is a big plus.

Picked this up as a back up as my Pixel 3 xl died out of nowhere. Got mine in yesterday. Unlocked it with the code set it up exactly like my s21. It seems good at this price but much slower than my s21 or even the pixel 3 xl was. Will end up having $28.75 total in mine. after the unlocking and with my $25 cashback from the site.
May I ask what network you are using? I've read here that it may not work for Verizon network.

I'm using it with a Verizon mvno. US Mobile super LTE works fine. Just takes like 5 mins to manually add the apn. Texting, data and Volte are fully working.

The camera quality doesn't improve from Moto Z2, only improvement is from 1 camera to three camera lens. The z2 is still my favor
GCAM really helped the Moto Z2 Force 12MP camera over its stock camera app but I definitely preferred the Moto G Stylus 2020 camera (stock camera app/GCAM). The Moto Z2 Force camera isn't bad but when I did my comparison camera test, the Moto G Stylus 2020 was easily the most impressive of the Motorola phones. My Pixel 6a and Samsung Galaxy A54 were still better cameras at the end. They simply handle low light better. Samsung still tends to be a lil bit over saturated at times.

Maybe your Moto Z2 Force P-OLED quad HD screen is making it appear that your pictures look better over an IPS screen.

I have 2 Moto Z2 Force phones as well as the Hasselblad True Zoom moto mod. I used it for its zooming but I never used it for regular shots so I never gave it a comparison test with regular shots.

Update: I just took a couple sample shots between the Moto Z2 Force vs Moto G Stylus 2020. The P-OLED quad HD screen is making the pictures look a bit more crisp and the screen is beautiful vs IPS. The flash is better with the Moto Z2 Force too. The more I look into the pictures, I see more detail with the Moto G Stylus 2020 and the color accuracy is better as well. I took some flower pictures and some white and color towels in good lighting. You can see lot more of the tiny fabric lines with the Moto G Stylus 2020. The color accuracy is better with the Moto G Stylus 2020. I am using GCAM for both. GCAM is definitely better than the stock camera app. I put both phones next to the colored towels to see how accurate the color is.... The Moto X2 Force screen is gorgeous though with P-OLED quad HD so it can make it seem the photo is "better" but it isn't quite the actual accurate picture. Flash is quite good with the Moto Z2 Force so if one is using lot of flash in darker environments, one may seem that as an advantage. I even tried the stock cameras for both. They are close but I think the Moto G Stylus 2020 camera is the best Motorola phone camera that I used. I never tried the more expensive Edge phones cameras.

Does this have snapdragon 695 or snapdragon 480 chip? The metro by T-Mobile version has 695 chipset
confusing as heck.
first the names are so similar.
then even the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 variants include
4, 6 or 8gb
and different chip for each [i think]

Ordered earlier this week, got unlock codes quickly from Dr.Unlock, which worked immediately. Never put the Boost sim in the phone. Logged on to Boost, went to Account Settings to disable auto-renew for the plan. Good backup phone for $50 (i don't deal with the CB sites)

How is the cashback done? Is it late after purchase?

1. Make sure you are using a T Mo R15 SIM for 5G speed. You can get a free R15 SIM at any T Mo corporate store.
2. Reboot phone. Turn OFF airplane. Turn ON mobile data.
3. T Mo may send a text message to install the appropriate mobile settings. Approve this request.
4. Look for 5GUC (if supported) at the upper right of screen. If no signal, reboot the phone after 3-5 min.
5. Run speedtest.net. Should hit +250 Mbps with a decent connection. Nominal speed for 4G LTE is 25-95 Mbps, depending on location and load at the T Mo tower.

Applicable to fully unlocked Boost and Metro Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 phones.
Okay, after the third reboot of the phone and software updates, it is now on 5G UC like all of my other phones (iPhone, Samsung, etc.). So it looks like I'm good to go after unlock on T-Mobile.

But wow, where do you live that you get that high of a Mbps on ultrawide band 5G? My T-Mobile maxes out at 4-5 Mbps, while when I was on Verizon, it consistently hit 30+ and sometimes up to 150 Mbps if I was near a major tower. I've never seen speeds like this on T-Mobile.

I did try a few things to improve the performance. It's slow but not bad at all for the price. If I paid full msrp at launch which was around $500, Honestly I think I would cry if I bought this at that price. I usually only buy flagships. To me the performance is somewhere between a Galaxy s8 and an s9. I love it at this sale price. it's a steal.. I've had pretty much every major android flagship in the last 10 years and the camera on this is surprisingly better than I thought it would be

Info on these is confusing with so many variants, Probably was less for this one. The specs I'm seeing say the 4,6 and 8gb all have the same Snapdragon 695 5g chip. Update* After checking my phone that I received from Boost, It has the Snapdragon 695 5g. The app cpu-z does show it as the SM4350 which is the 480 but it is wrong.

At home, about 2 miles from the tower. The T Mo home internet can hit +550Mbps between 5 and 6 am local time. 5GUC (phone) is 150-350 Mbps and 30mS ping time. The Verizon 5G at the same location is often slower than 4G LTE (less than 20 Mbps). 4G LTE is mature technology, so you should be able to achieve +25 Mbps with good signal. Signal strength and traffic load at the transmission tower are two key factors in determining speed. The small antenna inside the phone won't allow maximum speed unless the phone is very close to the tower. Additionally, 5G does not penetrate as well as 4G signal.

T Mo's 5G is vastly superior to Verizon's 5G at my location.

I've read complaint about the speed of this phone. The CPU inside the 2022 Iphone SE 3 is faster than anything found in android. The Moto is just as fast as the Iphone SE 3 with respect to heavy web browsing and basic phone functions. I suspect those who experience speed issues are hard core gamers or have bad apps running in the background that eat up all the RAM. The additional 2GB of RAM found in the Metro Moto makes no difference in speed, at least with the apps that I installed in the phone.

I don't think t-mobile R15 does matter. I am using none R15 SIM working fine for T-Mobile 5G.
speed always can be 600mpbs+
Perhaps not at your location. Our local T Mo corporate stores encourage the use of R15 SIM by giving them out for free to promote 5G.

5G T Mo phone speed rarely hits 500Mbps, mainly because of the small internal antenna and the load at the transmission tower. Real world speed is closer to 250Mbps. If you live next to the transmission tower, then the traffic load at the tower will determine your speed.

Lets be honest this phone gets Laggy with 2-3 basic apps open at the same time. Even knowing this It is still a good deal at this price.
