I did cpu-z on mine and it was showing the sm4350 which is the 480. But it is wrong, it really does have the 695 hence the 2 a78 arm cores. Tried to correct my post to reduce confusion.
Are you saying that you ran CPU-Z on your phone and it reported the code for the Snapdragon 480? If so, is it possible that you have the 2021 version of the Moto G Stylus 5G rather than the 2022 version?

Note that tap to wake enabled will turn ON the phone if it is moved...not an ideal condition if you put your phone in your pocket and move around. You can test this by moving the phone when it is on a table. A work around solution is to install the WAVEUP app.
No app necessary.

Turn off Wake Display?

Settings --> Display --> Peek Display --> Settings (in the bottom corner) --> Toggle off the "Tap to wake" in the gestures & haptics. I have mine on off. It doesn't turn on when I tap the screen.

If you hold the phone in your hand and just constantly move the phone as if it was in your pocket while jogging, the phone display will show the time and dim out in 5 seconds. It won't remain on while you are on a jog for 30 minutes. The display remains off. Test yourself. Hold it in your hand and move it back and forth like it was in your pocket and you are walking/jogging and you will see it remains off.

If you are concern about accident taps while in pocket with tap to wake on, put the screen facing outward. Screen outwards because the fabric won't cause any taps.

These 5000 mAh battery Motorola phones have amazing battery lives. The lift to wake has very little effect on the great battery life.

You can also go into the Moto App for specific gestures to toggle on and off.

If you go into Moto App --> Peek Display and toggle it off. The phone won't wake up at all when you tap or move it. It only wakes up when you hit the power button.

So I placed my order yesterday. Around morning time. Was hoping to get some shipping notification today. Still don't see anything. Not on the app. No email. Nothing. Oh well I will check in a few hours again
I ordered one yesterday afternoon myself and haven't gotten any shipping notification either. I'm disappointed, but given that you ordered earlier and they haven't notified you yet, I suppose I'll just have to be patient and wait for Boost to get to my order. It is somewhat worrying that it's taking over a day, hopefully it's not indicative of their level of customer service.

On the positive side, the $25 cashback showed up as "Pending" -- hopefully it'll move to "Confirmed" or "Payable" once Boost ships my phone. If it does, this will be the least I've spent (net) on a smartphone, or even possibly for any cellphone I've bought. Amazing value for a FHD+ phone with a decent Snapdragon chipset, 128 GB storage, and a stylus. Smilie

Can you pls share the ebay link?

I think most of these Boost unlock code sellers are in the UK, I ordered my code late in the afternoon and it came at midnight.

I paid $1.49 from "unlock_hub_18"

Do a search for: "UNLOCK CODE SERVICE MOTOROLA MOTO G STYLUS 5G XT2131-1 BOOST MOBILE SPRINT FAST"

1. Make sure you are using a T Mo R15 SIM for 5G speed. You can get a free R15 SIM at any T Mo corporate store.
2. Reboot phone. Turn OFF airplane. Turn ON mobile data.
3. T Mo may send a text message to install the appropriate mobile settings. Approve this request.
4. Look for 5GUC (if supported) at the upper right of screen. If no signal, reboot the phone after 3-5 min.
5. Run speedtest.net. Should hit +250 Mbps with a decent connection. Nominal speed for 4G LTE is 25-95 Mbps, depending on location and load at the T Mo tower.

Applicable to fully unlocked Boost and Metro Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 phones.

Okay, after the third reboot of the phone and software updates, it is now on 5G UC like all of my other phones (iPhone, Samsung, etc.). So it looks like I'm good to go after unlock on T-Mobile.

But wow, where do you live that you get that high of a Mbps on ultrawide band 5G? My T-Mobile maxes out at 4-5 Mbps, while when I was on Verizon, it consistently hit 30+ and sometimes up to 150 Mbps if I was near a major tower. I've never seen speeds like this on T-Mobile.
So, just as an update to this, I ran two tests right next to each other:

Test 1:
Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 on Boost Mobile on 5G+: 130 Mbps
iPhone 13 on T-Mobile 5G UC (Magenta Max Plan): 2.4 Mbps

Swapped the SIM cards

Test 2:
Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 on T-Mobile: 2.3 Mbps
iPhone 13 on Boost Mobile on 5G+: 110 Mbps

So there definitely seems to be an issue with my T-Mobile service, I never realized it until you guys brought up the speed issues.

Thanks for sharing. At my location, T Mo 5GUC is always above 100Mbps with nominal 250Mbps. The Verizon 5G will struggle to hit 50Mbps all day. The best time to test for optimum speed at my location is between 5 and 6 am local time.

Moving the T Mo SIM to a nearby city can revert the speed to 4G LTE since the phone cannot pickup 5G signal. With the exception of video Torrent files, I see no real world benefit for 5G at this time. 5G uses more power and has less penetration. Therefore, I set the phone to 4G LTE if WiFi hot spot is not available.

Also note that the type and orientation of the antenna inside the phone can also have a big influence of speed. In general, a modern phone's responsiveness is highly dependent of apps running in the background. Data mining app like Facebook places a lot of stress on the phone's I/O operations and CPU. Android 's developer mode can show the CPU load in real time which can help you weed out bad apps.

If you don't mimic jogging and just put the phone in your pocket or on the table, any slight movement will wake the phone. The screen will turn off after 5 sec, but will turn on again if there is movement. This is a flawed design. The older Motos only come ON when you double tap the screen. This is the proper way to wake the phone. Nokia, Samsung, and others have embraced this protocol for more than a decade.

I brought out my old Moto X Pure (2015) with android 7 and there isn't any option for double tap I the settings. I then brought out my Moto Z Play (2016) with android 8 and that is when the double tap to wake worked really well. There isn't any actual "double tap" for the Moto Z Play but when your hand goes over the screen or tap, it wakes so no "tap" is necessary. If I nudge the moto z play on a table, it won't wake. With my Motorola Moto Z2 Force (2017), it runs with the "Peek Display" like Moto G Power/Stylus 2020 and Stylus 5G 2022. If you go into the Moto Z2 Force and click "Learn more" with Peek Display, they show hand swipe over to screen to wake up, "Just Bump It" to Peek at notifications. It is a feature.

With the Moto Z Play, they called it "Moto Display". Quite odd how the Peek Display "Bump to wake" feature is used with the Moto Z2 Force and so on. Not quite needed.

With the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022, you can turn off any of waking up screen by nudges or movements by going to Settings --> Display --> Peek Display --> Toggle Off..... You will lose swipe hand over or tap to wake. Need to press power button to wake. All the movement gestures like chop for flash still work.

Wouldn't running an app in the background like waveup app or double tap use more battery life than the motorola phone waking with nudge or movement.

I actually put the moto g stylus 5g 2022 in my waist band with screen outward so I can see, walked around, stopped, walked around again, etc. It never woke up. Not even once. The phone recognizes that the phone is in "pocket mode". Try it yourself with a belt or waist band. I can do crossfit and it won't wake up.... After that waist band experiment, I put it on table. A completely still phone. Nudge it on table and it wakes.

App unnecessary... It won't wake in your pocket. Phone recognizes when in pocket vs on desk face up. With desk, phone is in bright light and completely still. With in a pocket, phone is in darkness and has lot of slight movements. Phone recognizes and understands "pocket mode".

With the moto z play, it states that the "Moto Display will not appear in your pocket or purse" or "Face Down".

* I put the moto g stylus 5g 2022, face down on desk with some of it leaning on edge. I nudge it and it doesn't wake. I flip it over and nudge it with screen upward, it wakes. Lighting helps determine the phone's pocket mode.

* If you put the phone in your pocket screen face down towards your thigh and sit down at your desk and move your leg around, it won't wake. I am bouncing my thigh like a drummer and it won't wake up. Even when I put the phone on the outside of my thigh with screen up and somewhat covered over with a shirt, I peek and the phone isn't waking when I bounce my thigh. It uses some light sensor technology to disable the "tap/hit to wake" technology. If I put the phone on my thigh screen face upward with no covering, the phone will constantly wake with movements. It is definitely using the light sensor along with its motion sensor to determine if it is in pocket. That is why a still phone's screen wake up is way more active on the desk while face up.
