I'm a little confused about the order summary page where it says:
"If you are getting a new phone number, your SIM will be automatically activated 2-3 days after order. Once activated, you authorize Boost Mobile to charge your card or PayPal account to auto pay your monthly total fee plus any additional taxes and surcharges".
How could I avoid these charges?
Or you all are buying with an existing phone numbers?
new line - sim gets activated while in shipment. so, you will receive a activated sim/number and will lose 1-3 days of service depending on transit time.
they activate autopay on your account; so, you need to call them and deactivate autopay.

Was anyone able to order second phone with a different email and credit card for the same address?

By cancelling auto pay in your account.
Can I do it online?
I looked around my online account but haven't found an auto pay cancelling.

If I call them will they simply cancel the auto pay, no questions asked, or they need a reason for that?

I ordered the phone and got it unlocked through ebay. Looks like it is working on tmobile and verizon after unlock.

I didn't do anything with the SIM card as I chose number transfer. I tried to access my account using the email that I used for purchase as I am not receiving any codes to login (may be because SIM is not activated as I mentioned) though boost mobile says the one-time code is e-mailed

Will they still charge my account? I am curious how I can turn autopay off.

I could potentially transfer one of my phone numbers, but I wanted to make sure if I do that, I can port out after a month as I don't want to keep paying $40 every month. I am okay if I can downgrade to $10-$15 plans after the first month.

Test the 4G and 5G speed with t-mobile. Run a speed test app or website. I am curious how the performance will be. Will this phone be somewhat nerfed with t-mobile or be perfectly fine? If it is a little bit slower with t-mobile, I would be fine but if there is a huge noticeable difference, it would bother me.

Speed is par with an Iphone SE 3 running 5GUC. Note that speed can vary due to the load at the tower. +/- 10% at 250Mbps is noise. A few midrange Samsung phones have poor WiFi reception. Could be a combo issue with the antenna and the non-Snapdragon processor. It can take several reboots for both of my A21s and A52 to lock into the WiFi at home. No problem with Motos, Iphones, and dirt cheap TCLs.

If Motorola ditched the "hit the phone to wake", I don't think anybody would miss it. Tap/wave your hand on screen makes sense. It does seem like an odd feature with the hit or move phone to wake. I think I will just turn off Peek Display completely with my Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 because I never interact with notification while the screen is off. I really prefer to have the regular screen to interact with a notification. I thought my daily driver Pixel 6a had tap to wake but it doesn't even have that feature as I was tapping the screen today to wake it. I didn't even realize it didn't have it so I guess I don't miss tap to wake much. Motorola gestures are great though and I find them very helpful.
I killed the Moto's "wake" function and replaced it with WaveUp.

I can turn ON or OFF the screen by "waving" the proximity sensor. Don't need to press the POWER button to turn OFF the screen. Battery drain is par or better than the Moto's "wake" function, probably because it does not need to keep the light and screen tap sensors active for proper operation.

The core functions of IOS don't change much over time. Android 12 and up require more strokes to accomplish the same tasks found in Android 11. Bloated OS consuming large amount of RAM, thus forcing the user to constantly upgrade the phone due to higher RAM and CPU requirement. Google is evil, but I don't see much pushback from Android users, yet.

Within months, IOS users in Europe will have the option to sideload apps. When that comes to the US, I wil jump ship to IOS.

Good point. What network Boost Mobile uses? Some place it says AT&T and T-Mobile - does it mean their phones are 100% compatible with both? Other places say T-Mobile.

I had a sprint variant Moto Z2 converted to T-Mobile and it worked great everywhere, but when T-Mobile started rolling out 5G I found 3 dead spots in my area (no 4g, no voice except maybe for 911).
When I contacted T-Mobile, they said that Z2 version does have some compatibility issue with some upgraded towers and suggested I get another phone. My unlocked moto action (4g) works just fine in those areas, so I'd really like to know if this Boost Mobile version is 100% compatible with T-Mobile network.

thanks.
