Its one of those things. If you know, you know. Easy money.
That's B.S. Wifey and I apply for at least 6-8 cc's/year and our credit rating is around 830/ea. Applying for a cc makes a tiny hit to your cc rating which goes away pretty quickly.
If your credit rating is so bad that your worried about this, then you have bigger financial problems to solve.
The amount of new accounts opened per year is only a small percentage of the overall credit formula. The majority of your score is based on you debt to income ratio. I open around 4 cards per year and sit around 790-810 credit score. That is still in the range to get the best available interest rates.

Ehhh $200 isn't usually enough value for me to bite on a credit card. Plenty offering in the $4-500 range, often times with other bennies too (lounge access for example).
Yes, but those usually have high spending requirements like $3000 in the first 3 months. This $200 has no spending requirement at all.
Not a bad card. I do not like store cards, but I shop at Amazon so much that they got me on prime day. $200 instant gift card goes right to your account. I got a friend to do it, so I got another $50. 6% back on prime day and 5% back on all amazon purchases is good because I shop at whole foods as well. 5% CB at chase travel is good. 2% for gas is better than nothing... I use my airline cards the most because I travel a lot, but I shop at amazon the very most.
I use my cards like cash and the card has to have benefits. She have other really nice cards, but this is a card I would recommend to people who shop at amazon a lot. There are real benefits to this card.

Can the points earned on the amazon prime card be transferred to Chase ultimate rewards based card?
Are folks getting pre-qualified for this? I seem to be well into the approval range but I don't want to apply if I'm liable to take a hit and not get credit.
Awesome deal. Clicked through link. Filled out the info. Approved & gift card applied to account within seconds. Whole process took less than 5 minutes

I found the section on ultimate reward to "combine points" it doesn't show this card as an option, all my other chase cards are on the combine points section. Let me know if you see something different

So I've skimmed through this whole thread but can't figure out if the $50 referral bonus stacks if I give my link to others?

Need to be a Prime member to get $200 bonus offer -- after that the card stays active like a regular CC (doesn't matter if you keep Prime or not)
The rewards structure is based on your Prime status (card is linked to your Amazon account) -- 5% Prime or 3% non-Prime cash back on Amazon purchases
Amazon Prime VISA Credit Card is via Chase , not via Amazon
Will I get 5% Cashback in Amazon purchases even after I cancel my prime membership?
