Its one of those things. If you know, you know. Easy money.
That's B.S. Wifey and I apply for at least 6-8 cc's/year and our credit rating is around 830/ea. Applying for a cc makes a tiny hit to your cc rating which goes away pretty quickly.
If your credit rating is so bad that your worried about this, then you have bigger financial problems to solve.
The amount of new accounts opened per year is only a small percentage of the overall credit formula. The majority of your score is based on you debt to income ratio. I open around 4 cards per year and sit around 790-810 credit score. That is still in the range to get the best available interest rates.

Travel hackers who pay close to nothing for travel. I'm not one but I usually get about $5,000 in travel for every CC. So this Amazon card is not worth it for me at $200
Curious to know how to $5k in travel CC. Have Sapph & Amex due to new sigups. But that hit more than $2k. Any tips would be helpful
From Chase and Amex points? Best value will typically be transfers to airlines and booking business or first class fares... For example I recently transferred 85k Amex points to book an ANA The Room roundtrip ticket to Japan--- that's a $7000 cash fare ticket.
That's on the high end of value, but getting 4-6 cents a point for biz/first bookings isn't especially difficult.
For coach and Hyatt hotel bookings (chase only on that one) you're looking at more like ~2-2.5 cents per point (so a 100k signup bonus would get you roughly 2-2.5k in travel there)
Sadly I didn't get approved after submitting. I have a 800 credit score, zero debt and just one credit card on file. Just the second CC I applied for in the past 4 years.
I'm in a shared household account with my dad as the primary account holder. My mom uses my account as well. My dad also has a Prime Visa which my mom has loaded into my/our account so she can use it.
Will I still be able to get the $200 GC and 5% CB if I apply for my own Prime Visa?

More than 2 per year per person is a bit excessive. Though the credit hit is small, but applying for 6-8 per year for 2 person ie 3-4 per person likely reached the hard limits of 5 per 24 months at Chase and a denial is a guaranteed.

Me too but I just joined Prime today for 30 days free trials. Then I applied this card and got a $200 gift card.

I have had this card for years, and it's my go to. You just link your bank information and you can make payments on the Chase app or on Amazon.

I would ask for a reconsideration
