The 20% off $50 has been around for around a year now. It's on the back of the weekly circular. Make sure you pick it up when you enter the store or you'll miss out on this deal. The prices are also much cheaper in person than online.

Visited a new Amazon fresh store a while back when they were sending out very generous coupons and it has it's problems:

- It's pretty limited in selection. They seem to carry the bare essentials for a grocery store, and that's it. You will not be finding speciality/ethic products there.

-The prices are medicore. They're not marked up, but you're paying regular, full price on produce.

- You enter with your Amazon account, or insert a credit card linked to Amazon. There are cameras hanging from the ceiling every 3 feet, which tracks your face / gait / movements
throughout the store.

Tl;Dr It's whole food prices with barely any selection, and a shit ton of cameras and watching and recording (literally) your every move.

The $10 off $40 coupon you receive when returning an Amazon purchase is probably the best deal when shopping at this store. The nearest store for me in SoCal is mostly deserted and there are more employees than shoppers. I am surprised at the way they run this store with all that tech and investment. After the initial exceitement, I see no one using the self scan and go anymore. I stopped using it myself (hard to use coupon, no instant receipt, no idea what you paid). I finally had enough when I ordered pizza through the app. Went to pick it up, there was no one in the pizza/deli section and after I asked an employee by the alcohol dept, he says the deli closed early today due to an issue. I haven't gone back except to retun items Smilie

I have never been happy with their groceries. Half the fruit comes bruised and gets moldy almost instantly. I don't know if it's the drivers but nothing comes cold either.

I been seeing fresh deals for like three years now but the only fresh store is sitting here unopened and has been completed for years ,rumor is that it will never open after Amazon spent tens of millions on this place

You're surprised by this? They don't have registers, how else are they supposed to know what you bought?

I've had the opposite experience. For example having 24ct French roast happy belly kcups delivered, $8.99 and in store at the Amazon fresh in 14th in DC $10.99

Does anyone notice the propaganda in the photos and commercials where every white man has a black wife or white woman has a black husband? It is disproportional. 3% of relationships are interracial but commercials have them at 50% or more. It is a lie.

Prices are not constant in store for meats. They used to send coupons in the weekly ad for like 10$ off 20$ purchase of meat items. So i had the neighbors that dont shop there give me their coupons. I bought only a 2 pack of grass fed organic filet mignon. I had about 5 coupons and went on 5 separate days. The two pack they had ranged in price from 18$ all the way to 27$. in these 5 days i visited. So prices for those types of things are not constant. Its just like shopping on amazon itself where a shirt constantly changes prices. The weekly ad prices listed will stay the same for everything but everything else in store is fair game.

I found the same. The quality was good but you sure paid for it. I used to use Amazon Fresh all the time but not once since they started changing for it.

I went over there to return something and I found their prices to be crap. Even after the 20% off, they were still higher than e.g. Ralph's (Kroger) here in LA. Worse is they seem to do the prime day shenanigans of raising the price and then discounting it to at or barely below regular price. Looked at the doritos for example, normally $2.99 per bag, but the prime day "special" was $5.49 buy one get one free...like srsly... Case of coca cola is buy two for $15. Ralph's is buy 3 for $15 every other week. Even if you got that 20% off, Ralph's is STILL cheaper.

Prime day is a big load of horse shit IMO. The only stuff that you actually get good deals on IME are the actual Amazon branded stuff, which I rarely ever want.
