Also, one of the driving gears is nylon and there are numerous pictures of it getting stripped. The motor's and attachments' gears are exposed and greased so it can get messy when changing attachments or removing for storage (the included sheaths for the attachments only cover the blade part, not the greased part). The trimmings get into the gears during use since the housing and cover do not seal particularly well and some get stuck to the grease within (bring tweezers if you are a perfectionist). Not a well thought-out design but then it's been around since 2014 (per the manual) if not earlier, it's from a recognized brand, and the reviews are generally good. The Amazon customer reviews and photos do mirror my experience well.
The charging port is proprietary and the AC adapter is surprisingly a magnetic transformer type (not the modern lightweight switching circuit) that stays slightly warms when plugged in but not in use (my watt meter says it uses 0.5W). I thought those were outlawed many years ago.
