Answer:
It is ridiculous that this doesn't work with the existing doorbell chime. This product has no purpose. The $59.99 price is misleading since, in order to have it actually function as a doorbell, you would have to buy a Ring chime ($29.99), and it doesn't even come with angle adapters, which they sell separately for $19.99 !!!!! So you would have to spend another $50 to get it to actually be a doorbell !!! Plus, unless you subscribe monthly to Protect, no way to save/ store the videos. This is a joke. It's like selling the razor blade handle for $1 but the blades are $10 apiece

This is why they're selling with the echo. They expect you to use the echo as your chime.

it's not. the amazon driver -- who had headphones on and was walking away from the doorbell -- *misheard* the default answer / announcement from the doorbell as a racist remark, instead of what was actually said. completely 100% driver's fault.

Did I read that right, does not work with existing chime? I was looking to upgrade my original Ring but after reading the functions of this one I can tell why its only $39 bucks.. My OG Ring works with my chime.

The echo pop is pretty gutless. Good enough to do alexa commands and such, but definitely needs to be paired with a sub or larger echo speakers to sound decent.
