Some dealers in my area, NE GA, are actually discounting the Ioniq5s $2500-$7500 right now. Not sure if that is a regional discount but the discounts seem to be coming from both the dealer and/or Hyundai. I know my local Hyundai dealer has had 3-5 Ioniq5s sitting in the front of their dealership for 1 - 2 months now that they can't seem to sell.

On a related note, the NHTSA just opened an investigation into the Ioniq5 due to reports that some Ioniqs are losing power while being driven. Not a full recall as of yet but enough complaints, around 30, to warrant a closer look. https://www.caranddriver.com/news...stigation/
Why buyout when you could invest those funds at a rate > 0.9%? Current 13-month CD's pay 4.3%.
Financing? Isn't the real deal when you do a lease, get the $7500 credit then do a lease buyout?

Dont buy this junk. Go get a Tesla way better charging infrastructure. Hyundai has low resale value and you dont want to deal with hyundai dealers.. they always find an excuse to reject warranty.
have you seen the tesla resale value? it's pretty bad.

You probably get $1 k dealer discount and $5k cash incentive, I doubt dealer would give $6k dealer discount.
I have dealers in Colorado who are giving dealer discounts around $3.5k on top of all rebates…

You have to pay attention with or without a Tesla. Don't believe the Tesla hype. And this is coming from me who has had a Tesla with FSD since 2018. Don't believe anyone who says they don't need to pay attention. Their license needs to be suspended.

I test drove and Ioniq5 SEL and Model Y LR last weekend and it was clear to me which I would purchase. Obviously do your research but there is nothing like a test drive in the actual car to see which you prefer.

Tesla literally tells you during purchase you have to pay attention.

Then tells you again the first time you enable the system you have to pay attention.

Then tells you every single time you activate it you have to pay attention.

Then the driver monitoring system nags you if it detects you're not paying attention and reminds you to do so.

Tesla FSD is piece of junk, you will get stressed out 1000 times than you drive. 1/50 times would do crazy shit where you will question why you even turn on the shit.

It works decently well on highway yhiugh.

Which do you prefer? I drove the ionic 5 and wasn't impressed. I preferred the mach e but haven't driven a model y yet.

Greatly preferred the Model Y. Was expecting the ride quality of the Ioniq to be noticeably better than the Y but the gap ended up being much smaller than expected. Pretty much every other aspect of the Y (storage, power, infotainment/user interface, etc) seemed better. Granted I would likely be using CarPlay or Android Auto vs the in-house Hyundai infotainment which I tried... but their stock system was absolute garbage.

bought a '19 accord sport in 2019 for 6k under msrp with costco pricing (27k, retail 33). 0 down, like $320 a month. Bought out the lease last year for the residual using financing at 2.5%, like $360 monthly. Gone are the days, man.

The car is STILL worth in a private sale what I leased/financed it for initially.
Those days are long gone.
