What are those drawstring looking things on the top?
I think those are the "convenient elastic laces keeper" - I assume some method of keeping the laces retained so they don't get wound up in the chain and chainring.
Ordered, thanks! Don't care about the color and would rather have ratchet closures instead of laces, but the price is right.
FWIW, I ordered a pair of Giro Privateer from the REI Re-Supply (returns) for $75 a couple of weeks ago and received a different pair of shoes so had to return.

Tuck your laces back thru the elastic to keep them in the middle of the shoe.
Awful is an understatement. A rider would have to raise their seat (maybe even get a bigger bike) to account for the excessive height of that adapter. And what would the changing virtual crank length do to their spin? It amazes me that people would go that route instead of just matching their shoes and pedals. SMH

Well... we are talking about gravel bike riders... people who are intent on using things for situations they are ill-suited for and brag about how "versatile" it is.

On the other hand, I cracked the sole right through on both shoes within a year. At $42 they're a good backup set, but don't expect them to last.
