I had a hinge issue with mine, right after it went out of warranty. Lenovo feels like
a solid build when you get it. It was hands down, the worst laptop I have ever owned, and I am not hard on my laptops.

But your comment when combined with the other person comment about have a lifetime warranty is basically telling people, don't worry with Costco because you can return it at any time. Besides just not being ture for every store, it's also gonna ruin it for other people when Costco decides to have an even shorter and stricter return policy, like Sam's. Remember, there was a time when there was no date limit on return policy for ALL items but it was abused and here we are.

No it is not. Return policy is 90 days for laptops.
Yeah, but they usually take items far past the 90 days. Even a year or more later.

That's a real ymmv and dependent on store and manager. Pretty bad advice to be dishing out. Awhile back I even got a warning that I have returned too many electronic products. I wouldn't abuse it.

It's not advice, just saying that Costco is one of the only stores that isn't always ultra strict with their return policy time-frames like other stores.

Yes but the laptop although with reported hinge issues have a 2 year warranty. Most report having issues 3 to 7 month mark it's still warrantied

No, my returns have always been within the return policy. I also never got that again, basically got a strict or bad manager. My point is that it is ymmv.

Did you even read what I quoted and replied to? Having 2 year warranty is a far cry from a lifetime warranty.

Why are the reviews not good? Is this laptop worth it for kids to play PC games?
I wouldn't get this for gaming. Yeah, it's for kids... But *most* kids need more graphics processing than we realize.

I'd be on the lookout for GTX1650 or maybe even RTX3050. So they can game in peace.

Nice deal, this will be perfect for most people that don't really do intensive tasks on their laptops.
I 2nd this. This laptop is perfectly fine for most people. Online shopping, social media browsing, bit of office work, etc.

This is not for gamers, editors, or pc enthusiasts. Most people aren't doing any of these things and they really shouldn't have to drop another $300-500 extra for a good windows laptop. No reason for the down votes. They make different laptops for different people. It's a good thing.

These are known for having hinge issues that self destroy themselves. Why would you want to have to send it in, risk data loss, theft, etc from a well known issue?

Yes agree, I also saw lot of reviews on costco site for battery issue. I was very much in to buy but battery reviews stopped me.

Those issues are years old and Lenovo has changed the underlying design to be more robust and less prone to the issue. At this point their failure rate is right in line with all other manufacturers. Unfortunately, an elephant never forgets, as you can see by this thread with multiple people with no 1st hand knowledge of the issue with this laptop continuing to parrot the same nonsense.

If you read the reviews on this specific laptop, not a single one mentions the hinge breaking.

I have this laptop from beginning of 2021. My sister has one from early 2022. Open and close many times a day every day, no problems. Either way, most of the hinge issues happened in the 1st 6 months to a year and Costco doubles the warranty to two years so you will be good if something does happen (it won't).

Today is the last day for this deal. It is a great deal for the specs.
