I had a hinge issue with mine, right after it went out of warranty. Lenovo feels like
a solid build when you get it. It was hands down, the worst laptop I have ever owned, and I am not hard on my laptops.

But your comment when combined with the other person comment about have a lifetime warranty is basically telling people, don't worry with Costco because you can return it at any time. Besides just not being ture for every store, it's also gonna ruin it for other people when Costco decides to have an even shorter and stricter return policy, like Sam's. Remember, there was a time when there was no date limit on return policy for ALL items but it was abused and here we are.

FWIW, IdeaPad Flex series is plagued with hinge issues and iffy build qualities. It is poor man's Yoga when Yoga itself have had its fair share of hinge issues.
I would say go with Samsung if you need a 2 in 1, otherwise, just go for a clam-shell touchscreen laptop.

I can't decide between this or the Ryzen 7 5700U with 2.2K display for $50 more ($500).

I was on the same boat. I decided to go with the Ryzen 7 version, mainly for the better resolution display more than anything. Super fast shipping too, I ordered yesterday and it's arriving tomorrow. I decided to get this over the X1 yoga titanium that's $180 more with similar specs, but slightly nicer screen.

Funny I was about to pull the trigger on this deal earlier this week, but held off. Luckily I did, since they added an extra $50 to the discount for both Intel and ryzen version.

Dang! I think all Lenovo *Pads* are bonkers then MadMadMad
I have just experiences with Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360, Galaxy Book, Dell Precision, Huawei MateBook D, Lenovo ThinkPad E15/T14s and Acer Spin 5 and never have hinge issues.

Anyone know why the HDMI port is not at least 2.0? Serious question. The integrated graphics on this should support 2.0. At this point, that should be the minimum even in a budget PC. And better to have HDMI 2.1. Does putting a 1.4 port in this somehow save Lenovo money?

Got a open box L14 gen 4 with Ryzen 7 for $550 on the bay. My x220 and T530 from 2011 are still going strong (have a few T450s/T450/x250) - get a Thinkpad if you want something that lasts

I went with the ryzen 5700 one due to the better screen resolution.
