I can't recommend the S22. I have to charge mine after lunch everyday. I didn't have that issue with my S10.

Plus newer modem which helps with things like 5G carrier aggregation.

When I had an S22 the 5G performance was noticably better than my S21.

Yeah I've been hearing about that from lots of folks. I'm looking for a good replacement for my S10e - looking for the smallest size possible (not a foldable). I like DEX so was looking at the S22 and S23 since they are only marginally larger. I can wait until the S23 goes down in price.

sounds like I should just hang on to my S20fe and wait for a deal on the S23 instead. the S21 and S22 don't seem to be a good upgrade choice with the poor battery performance.

You may just have a battery issue. I have mine set to standard smoothness (not 120hz) and FHD+ instead of WQHD+ and mine lasts me all day, even if I'm on it a majority of the day I'll have around 30% by the time I'm home and ready for bed.
