I keep track of them. I don't know of a way to add them to my account unless I book then cancel, then it's flight credit. If there is such a feature to add them on the SW website, I'm not aware of it.

Edit: nevermind. It actually went through. The automated message on the phone said it was canceled but the charge went through after I confirmed it was me. Have the confirmation email now.


So, I tried using the Discover card. Got a fraud alert so the order was canceled. Costco's system recognized that the promo has been used so it would not let me order again with the promo. :-(

This happened to me with my Discover card. Costco recognizes cancelled orders as part of your limit. You just have to buy it at the regular price and request a price match and they will refund the difference to your card. I did this last week for the PlayStation gift cards.

This happens every single time I try to buy gift card deals from Costco. There's no issues with my Visa card or address and I never have this problem with this card with any other merchant. Really frustrating.

You don't get it. There is no way to "add" the gift card into your account, so some people use them to buy tickets then cancel. By cancelling a paid ticket, you are getting flight credit back into your account, it's the flight credit that has a time limit, which is perfectly legal.

It appears this policy has also changed at Southwest... (an didn't realized someone posted that response above... oh well, it's early!)
