How do you use a c clamp on the pistons that have to be rotated?

Everyone on here "my car blah blah blah" they are for cars which use a parking brake integrated into the rear caliper. A pry bar, c clamp, or channel lock cannot be used to retract this type. This kit is handy as fark. (Src: 15 year mechanic)

Exactly. My Ford has the pistons that require rotating to set the pistons back when replacing the pads.

Would totally buy this but my car has so many miles and I'm tired or rehabbing calipers so I'm just going to replace them.

The auto parts stores will "rent" you a set for free after you return it. But this can save the hassle.

I wonder if you actually know what this is used for. Hint: it's not for "rehabbing" the calipers.

I just use a C battery with alligator clips to use on electronic brakes or ones that are non electronic that has to be rotated and pushed in

This tool is for a Ford-keyed piston, this is overkill for a normal universal cylinder piston, isn't it? The one I use for my Ford is a little cube with pegs; costs almost nothing and I use it with my 3/8ths wrench. This is a slick version of that cube. There's a dumb-version of brake pistons that won't work with a c-clamp. They require you to twist using a pattern of pegs on the compressing piston, this is for that!
I've had so many cars over the years and it wasn't until I had a Ford that I needed this tool. Most people won't need this and can get by using cheaper or alternative tools for compressing the caliper.

Worth the trouble of driving to and then retuning a borrowed autozone version.

Or in my case borrowing one, and it was broken but I didn't know that so I thought my piston was seized and then had to drive to another store much farther away to get one that wasn't broken and finished the job.

$16 is worth that.
