How do you use a c clamp on the pistons that have to be rotated?

Everyone on here "my car blah blah blah" they are for cars which use a parking brake integrated into the rear caliper. A pry bar, c clamp, or channel lock cannot be used to retract this type. This kit is handy as fark. (Src: 15 year mechanic)

Useful kit. Price is just okay. These same caliper kits run on eBay $15.

Those that use the c clamp etc I guess can't afford to fork over $16.

I wonder if you actually know what this is used for. Hint: it's not for "rehabbing" the calipers.
Because I will be replacing the caliper I won't need to retract the piston on my next two brake jobs. I can just turn it in as-is to get the core charge back.

So tell me how useful this is going to be over the next few years?

I'm really surprised how much interest there is for this niche Ford-style compressor. What other manufacturers are you guys buying these for? And as mentioned before, there's DIY solutions or a simple 3/8" drive adapter that does the same thing and brake jobs aren't that frequent... there must be a lot of people doing break jobs at home nowadays I guess. It's probably a sign of the looming recession. This is showing front-page for a $2 discount, which is eye-raising.

This tool is for a Ford-keyed piston, this is overkill for a normal universal cylinder piston, isn't it? The one I use for my Ford is a little cube with pegs; costs almost nothing and I use it with my 3/8ths wrench. This is a slick version of that cube. I have something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Supercrazy...228&sr=8-5
I bought one of these for my Infiniti cubes. Thing was useless; it was a frustrating fail! Then I went and bought a near identical set of this kit from Harbor Freight ($45 this is a better value this was about 10 years ago price has gone up since) and it made the job way more efficient. Was worth it.

I had this cube. All the pegs broke on me and it's now useless. I would not recommend this.

The rear brake pistons (puts pressure on the pads to clamp down on the rotors for disc break) on my 2017 Subaru Outback requires this tool to put both pressure and rotation at the same time to retract the piston. One of those tools that when you need it wish you had it cuz if you don't have a spare car you're going to have to put the old pads and wheel back on to drive to the auto parts store
This is exactly what I needed for this reason. The 3/8 cube socket thing was useless on my Infiniti brakes. This thing made it a breeze.

My Hyundai elantra required twisting of the piston. A quick trip to autozone and I rented it for free. How much will you actually use this?

IIRC, I just used needle nose pliers to twist while forcing piston...besides, this is only a dollar or two off the usual price, so nothing real slick here.
This is exactly what I did. Was a piece of cake.

Or we just have a little skill and ability that allows us to bank that 16 dollars.
