Anyone have experience with a refurbished racing rig?
They've strengthened these quite a bit since the early days with much stronger braces. It's more than capable of handling the budget DD kits like the CSL DD and Moza R9 with little to no flex while driving. If you're going to go with a higher end wheel base with double the FFB, there are cheap strengthening kits that add more brackets to make it capable with those. If someone is going to spend that much money on a high-end wheel setup, they're probably gonna go for a higher end cockpit though.
My only complaint with this thing is how much work it is to change between the GT and Formula seating positions. You have to add/remove adapter plates to switch, so you're not going to just switch back and forth on a whim during a session. You're probably going to pick one or the other and leave it in that configuration.
I think it just comes with an adapter for it and not an actual butt kicker.

Worth noting when considering if this is a good deal for your uses is that the butt kicker gamer 2 (while discontinued and replaced with 2 newer options) was about $150 on it's own (assuming this DOES come with an amplifier to power the kicker as otherwise it's useless, I'd double check that small detail.)
Edit: My guess is the inclusion of the butt kicker is why this is priced higher than the previous deal mentioned

🤯.... But it's just a shaker, if they're only advertising a place to mount it that could be basically a metal plate.... If that's the case this is definitely not a good deal compared to the previous one. (Hepatic shakers are pretty easy to mount and the standard mounting kit from BK themselves is like $20...)
Yea, the "adapter" kit is something you can buy for $25 from buttkicker. It's a universal mounting plate set and that's what they have listed.

If you're referring to the deal linked above, that is for the Lite version. That version is foldable, and is lighter weight than this one. Also, that one is only the GT position.
This one is not foldable, and it's heavier duty. Also, it can be setup in either a Formula position or a GT position. That's why it's more expensive.
The Buttkicker adapter is just a tube that bolts on. But it gives you a place to mount a Buttkicker right under the seat.

Nice find on top! Has anyone used this before? How was it?
I have one of these, although I've had mine all the way back when it was still called F1-GT instead of F-GT.
This thing has a bit of flex. Even with something like a Logitech G920, you can feel it. It's nothing bad at all, but I would never use a high end direct drive with this.
Also, when using it in the normal seating position, the seat is too upright. Maybe they fixed it in the new version, but with the one I have, it's borderline unusable.
Using it in the single seater position though is perfectly fine. My only complaint is that I wish you could pull the wheel a little bit closer, but thats just me.
I got the fold up version when it was posted from warehouse b a month or so ago, it turned up basically brand new with the only scuff I could find on the underside of the pedal plate. very happy but there were others that didn't have as good of an experience so ymmv. If I needed another solid sim I'd go for this but thankfully I don't!
