Honestly, I had the V6 and upgraded to this one about a month ago and am blown away by the difference. There are 3 options for suction strength - economy, auto or boost and the boost has such a powerful suction on carpet. I also love the head with the green light for wood floor showing every single speck of dust or crumb. It is shocking what you can see with the green light.
Great price for this.. I've been using the V15 for a couple of years now, never had any issues with it. Only downside is that in "boost" mode the battery only lasts a few minutes, but Auto mode is generally good enough to get anything done and provides plenty of runtime.
I do usually upgrade to the latest Dyson vacuum, and I did look at the Gen5 (newly released here in the US) but I don't like the lack of a trigger on the handle so I'll probably skip that one, hopefully they bring the trigger back sometime down the line in a future model.

That's funny, for me the button was the deciding factor to get it. I originally bought the V15 and the trigger would eventually tire out my finger. I ended up returning it and getting the V12 with the push button. I could never go back to the trigger. The V12 had less power and suction (although not bad at all to complain about) but it's lighter and more comfortable to use for a longer period of time. I'm excited they're bringing the buttons to future models. 🤷🏻 ♂️

This deal is trash and the vacuum is overkill
Slickdeals is getting soft
Buy the v8 when it's on sale for $200 to $250..
I bought mine back in December and it was around $700. I think it's a decent deal. Also, how is the vacuum overkill? I don't know about you but I like strong sucky sucky.

Gen 5 is around $950. I doubt it will be coming down to $450 any time soon...

I hope you love it as much as I do!
It's performed exactly as I would have predicted: my Miele hardly gets used these days but our house gets vacuumed more often due to the convenience.
