Honestly, I had the V6 and upgraded to this one about a month ago and am blown away by the difference. There are 3 options for suction strength - economy, auto or boost and the boost has such a powerful suction on carpet. I also love the head with the green light for wood floor showing every single speck of dust or crumb. It is shocking what you can see with the green light.

Same experience as other V6 user. Had a v7 also. Here are 2 numbers that should make an easy comparison.
1. The V6 has about 20 min runtime while V15 has triple that at 60 min.
2. The V6 suction is rated at 100AW and the V15 is 230AW. Air watts refer to the number of watts used by the vacuum cleaner to carry a unit of air through an opening or nozzle. The higher the air watts, the higher the suction power.

I will also say that the fluffy head on the V15 is the best one I've ever used. I won't ever use a vacuum without one having lot of hardwood flooring. The laser is also legit - turn off the lights at night and it's straight up stressful seeing how much dust it exposes.

Dyson has the V15 Detect Absolute for $599 through 7/1. Looks like it may come with a couple of extra attachments and a well known CB site is doing 8% for online Dyson purchases. I've always wanted one of their fluffy head cordless vacs for my hardwood floors. My mom had a V6 and that thing was really convenient to use. It just didn't run very long and took forever to charge.

Do any of these come with two batteries?

Just got mine. The laser dust detection is game changing. My house is now cleaner than Apple's production line.

The deal has rebirthed after a day in a brief summer nap, with a shipping date in early August. This somehow ends up being the perfect scenario for me as I will be on vacation for a month until then, and can come home to a new hobby of lasering the dust off my floor. It also allows me to see if Prime Day will actualize a better deal on this vacuum with an easier cancellation process.

Edit: Oops out of stock again. Anyway, I guess this means that it is coming in and out of stock (the one sold by Amazon.com).
