So yea, 300 is quite low…especially at this price point. These used to all come standard with the 500 nit screen…and it's only a $30 upgrade when custom building…but few of these prebuilt options that go on sale have it sadly.
I ended up keeping this one, because of lower fan noise (the Zephyrus is uncomfortably noisy during load), the keyboard feels sturdier, and the CPU/GPU combination ended up outperforming the Zephyrus by ~2k in 3DMark Time Spy.
I'm not quite sure why the 7745HX is underperforming the 12900H, but the significant drag on the other machine is definitely the older 3070 TI, despite all the reviews I have read about these 2 GPUs.

Lots of people complaining about the 300 nit screen, its plenty bright to me unless in higher light situations. Basically if you have any control over the level of ambient light you'll never have a problem. They still have the 500 nit screen option as well but it seems tougher to get a deal on one of those even though its only a $30 option.

If that's true, than I am very disappointed and should buy desktop gaming PC instead. I understand that this laptop with 4070 card needs more power (300W adaptor), but still only 30 minutes gaming on battery makes no sense. If it's faulty battery, I will contact Lenovo for a repair/replacement.

I game on it often but almost never without it being plugged in or close to being plugged in, so you would have to do some research to see if what you're experiencing is normal.
