BOOT UP OR CONNECT TO WIFI.
instead, you should read online about the Fire Toolbox (free) software that will allow you to add
the Google apps and Google Play Store to your device.
If the first thing you do is boot up and connect to wifi, it will update the software and DISALLOW any way to go back to the previous version of the Amazon OS.
Once you have used the Fire Toolbox software, you can protect your tablet going forward from any updates, and you will be good to go. Then you can safely connect to wifi.

However, upon checking out the 20% never came off.
I chatted with them and they said to contact them back after it is delivered and they would apply the discount.
I'd much rather know the discount beforehand then after but I guess this works.

Click Shop 20% with "Trade-in". Then click "See how it works" up top. Then click second link "Amazon Trade in Promotion Terms and Conditions. Then I see the below. Look at the dates. The trade in ended 7/1 8:59am. I believe it's quarterly and we have to see when Amazon refreshes their promo so that 7/1 9am to 10/1 8:59am promos are active. I submitted mine in 7/2 and didn't get the 20% yet, even though email says it did. Most likely everyone in Amazon office is off until Wednesday for the holidays and they are going to get a lot of complaints until then to update their promo.

I had the same 2019 tablet and it was a P.O.S . But I traded it in for a 2021 hd plus . It's a extremely huge difference. Like butter with the extra 2 gigs of ram making it a total of 4.
20% of $90 is not $38.
But $38 is 20% off the listed price ($190).

He definitely submitted the trade in before 7/1. Just wait until Amazon updates their promo because as of now anything submitted after 7/1 won't give u 20% off. It's a quarterly thing and Amazon corporate is off until Wednesday. Point is might as well just wait until Prime Day
