Personally, I'm really disappointed by the removal of the micro SD slots. Just a money grab that doesn't serve the customer.
Galaxy S22 128gb [bestbuy.com]
New line $14.58/mo (24mo) or $349.99 outright (Activate Today)
Upgrade $16.66/mo (24mo) or $399.99 outright (Activate Today)
This is the lowest price I can find right now for either of these devices.
Galaxy S22+ 128gb [bestbuy.com]
New line $22.91/mo (24mo) or $549.99 outright (Activate Today)
Upgrade $24.99/mo (24mo) or $599.99 outright (Activate Today)
Also, the S21 5G FE [bestbuy.com] is discounted as well at $10.41/mo for 24 months or $249.99 outright and if it's a new line it's down to $199.
This may be a lukewarm deal to some, but for those looking for flagships at a budget AND for those who are not on Magenta Max or GoPlus5G plans, deals on devices have appeared to dry up. People that are TDing maybe don't get the current state of T-Mobile device deals...
I genuinely have no idea why anyone would go for the S22+ over the Ultra at the same price but I honestly don't know too much about the Galaxy line.

You can buy this s22u for $550 and trade in for 750 and pay another 250 to get s23u 256gb unlocked, with total of $800 which seems not bad.

Prepaid phones are *usually* sold unbundled (without service) so for those you pay tax on the actual sales price.
Rules can differ from state-to-state though, so it really depends on which state you bought it in.
