327 vs 282, they have a lot in common and weird tradeoffs. I really like the sanding drums and fiberglass cutoff wheels, so I guess I'd lean toward the 327 piece set.
The 327 has 131 adhesive back sanding discs accounting for a lot of the number.
Also a lot more sanding bands.
The 282 has more heavy duty cutoff disks; great if you like those more.

For someone that just needs a rotary tool and not doing any thing specific hobby wise, all need is the cutting wheels and the sand paper ones. But good price, I think quality wise these parts are just as good as the dremel brand. You can also buy even more generic versions for way less on Amazon or Temu. 100+ piece sets on Temu for like $5.
Also, if you don't have a rotary tool, the corded Wen kit with everything you would need is $33 on Amazon and sometimes cheaper.
