Except that the TTI conglomerate was founded by a German in Hong Kong when it was an English territory and Milwaukee Tools is based in Wisconsin.

How reputable is Acme Tools? Never ordered from them before, and searching on line there are some ratings that are not that great.

I've bought from them half a dozen times in several years past with no problems but stopped cause their free shipping condition got prohibitive.

A hammer drill at 99 including batteries from a good brand is too good to pass up. I added the grinder too and some other items since I made the free shipping cut.

Was a German brand, bought by a Chinese company. Same company owns Skil. Eh. Pass. Buy a Dewalt or Milwaukee.
They are owned by Chervon who makes skil and kobalt as well as the ego brand. It's a fairly well established brand that has experience in making power tools and batteries. If this was some fly by night Chinese company with all consonants in their name I'd be skeptical too but they have a decent rep. In for the drill and grinder.

OK, gave in. The 5Ah battery by itself is $149 at Lowe's, $119 at Acme.

I use a credit card so I will dispute it through the credit card company. Like I said before they've been fine for me in the past.

Hopefully it's not a listing mistake. That would suck . I looked at some of those reviews on trustpilot and resellerratings and they do seem concerning.

Reddit seems to be fine with them though ie.

I'm not an expert in power tools, but looking to start investing in more "professional" level tools for the basics. From the brief videos and google searching I've done, this should be comparable to Milwaukee and Dewalt. Been in the market for a hammer drill to puncture concrete walls in my New York apartment and at $99 pre tax + 7 dollar shipping AND lifetime warranty, can't complain. Thanks OP!
it's not comparable to dewalt or milwaukee. and i'm not saying it because i'm some gatekeeping fanboy, i have some flex tools myself. flex tools have a tendency to get really hot really fast, especially if you're working outside in the sun. i ran into this issue. the tools heat up and stop working until they can cool down

are flex tools great for home users? yes, absolutely. for at home projects, look no further. but will professionals be able to use these on their 8+ hour work days? f**k no.

I am not an expert, but I watched some youtube videos, where some reviewers claim that drills will get replaced by impact drivers. Any thoughts on this?

anybody know charger for 110v or for 220v?
of course it's for 110. why would a US retailer have 220v chargers? only way you'll get a 22v charger is if you buy from abroad and have it imported. the US service center doesn't even have any 220v chargers they can sell or give you

Is there any chance of this comment not being some kind of a troll/joke?

My thoughts are you should only trust 10% of what those 'reviewers' are saying on YT.
