R12SW is sub-par in comparison.

R-120SW is great, R-100SW is great, and the R-10SW is great.. but for whatever reason, they did something weird on the R-12SW where it's very "muddy" and loose sounding in comparison. The 10/100/120SW all give a nice punchy bass, which the 12SW Lacks.

I've owned all 4 (multiples of the R-12SW's because they were cheap) and as much as I prefer the 12", I'd take the smaller 10SW (or 100SW) over the 12SW.

I'm looking for a budget sub, anyone have opinions on this r100 vs the JBL 550p? Besides this being ported and the 550 being sealed, the jbl is only $16 more after a $10 coupon for signing up for their mailing list. TIA

I have a Klipsch sub for my computer and love it. All of my A/V sound goes through Klipsch RP speakers save for my SVS sub. So, suffice it to say that I like Klipsch.

That JBL is rated down to 27hz, AND has an RMS twice that of the Klipsch. Between the two even I would go with the JBL, ESPECIALLY for basically the same price. (Though the above link shows $600... So I'm not sure where you're seeing it sub $200? Is it another SD?)

Oh wow, they must've raised the price today. Luckily I pulled the trigger last night. It does seem to go on sale under 200 every couple months based on a SD search.

Decent 10" for this price. I probably like my 12" Dayton slightly better for similar money.

Unless you're pinching pennies, you could get the R12SW on the same website for a few bucks more.

12" is also available as mentioned a moment ago, several sales on subwoofers so feel free to stretch those Penny's. For a mid tier to high end you likely want 12" and 300 RMS or higher

This is the 10" equivalent of the R-12SW, which was replaced a few years later by the R-100SW / R-120SW.. I couldn't say what all of the differences are, but I believe the R-112SW / R-110SW are a higher-end than both the R-10 and R-100 series.

Yes you are correct
The higher end one is R 110SW
I have one R 112SW and was thinking of replacing it with dual R 110SW but then realized this is not that one
