I bought a legion pre-built in 2020 right when the pandemic hit. It was my first PC purchase so I didn't know what to look out for but I knew lenovo as a good brand. It was a 3070, i9 - 11900k for like 2500. Now that I have rebuilt that legion pc, and moved parts and built my own PC with the parts from it, because I wanted to upgrade not because of issues. This is a steal and their PC was built right, cable management was awesome, OEM parts were great. Heck, 'm still using the AIO it came with along with all the fans. Great prebuilt, I always recommend legion for prebuilt to people looking to purchase a PC for the first time.

1. You didn't include every component in your part picker, yet are comparing the cost of an incomplete list to the full computer with OS.
2. Time is money. I'd rather buy this computer than search out the parts, possibly have to go to B&M for some, wait for individual components to arrive (hopefully safely) and assemble everything - to save maybe $150, if I'm lucky.
3. You seem to be viewing this site under a rosy retrospection lens. It both better and worse than it was 15+ years ago; not simply worse.

If you get this deal I'd recommend upgrading to Windows 10/11 Pro:

15.63" depth on this case. The 4070ti is 13.3" length, that gives about 2.3" of space. Seems a like a really tight fit.

ugh what, ive been on slickdeals since like 2001, this is not a true frontpage deal

frontpage deals are actually real "slickdeals" this is not slick since ppl have the ability to build it for cheaper

argue all you want, this is not worthy of front page imo since you can build it for cheaper

and pcpartpicker is online, not a microcenter, the parts all were from amazon/bh/newegg all very reputable vendors

imo this site changed, back in the day I could come online and find deals that literally paid me - yes paid me over the purchase price, those days are long gone.

Definitely gotten laptop/ and pc components off frontpage before that are genuine deals, this doesnt deserve all the upvotes to make frontpage imo since the entire point of this site is to save money, and its clear you can get this for cheaper
The amount of time you have been using Slickdeals is not indicative of anything at all. Comparing a pre-built PC to buying the parts individually may be cheaper, but does not equate to a better buying decision. It is not a good comparison for the average consumer. The typical person buying a pre-built is not building their own PC. They're buying a pre-built because they want it already built. Not everyone can, or want to build their own PC. For those people, this IS a deal. That extra money is absolutely worth having the system already assembled for a pretty large portion of the population.

Not sure about the new models but motherboard was micro atx in the last model. You couldn't enable XMP in bios for the ram but maybe they fixed that?
Apparently they have released a BIOS update that allows for XMP now.

Unfortunately. 4070 low on VRAM. 16 GB minimum to keep up with console ports that require same.

pcpartpicker = $1454

this is without a case + fan cooling
windows
keyboard + mouse

Thought this was a good deal till I put stuff into pcpartpicker, and yes I chose stuff that was 2nd or 3rd cheapest, am i missing something why this is getting upvoted to frontpage?

I am not trying to poopoo this deal, i actually want to buy it, also taht 8% cb is good as well, and yes I can build pc myself, been doing that since 98, so not worried about the few hours of assembly/windows and driver installations
Bruh, you say you've been on SD since 2000. I think it's time for you to go. Tired of ppl like you always 'Ohhh you can build it yourself for cheaper~~' for what? to save a $100 using cheapest parts available? and use pirated Windows Key? Wait days for individual parts to arrive and hope they are not damaged or defects?
You act like you are special cause you know how to build a PC... guess what? anyone who played with Lego can build a PC.
JUST GO AWAY.

Lol, I doubt this guy actually ever built a PC. No cooler, no case, no Windows, CL42 memory(i doubt this guy knows what it means), Gen3 M.2 vs Gen4 in Lenovo(he probably doesnt know what this means either), PSU brand I've never heard of, MoBo without WiFi and Bluetooth.
his link currently showing $1,520 incomplete and less capable build vs Lenovo $1,584ApplauseApplause
Stick to your console gaming bruh...

Even if you live near by Micro Center, it will be hard to beat this deal.

7700x CPU MOBO RAM combo = $450
4070ti = $800
Cooler = $50
Storage = $50
PSU = $100
Case = $100
Pirated Windows Key = $50

Total: $1,600
and this is being conservative.

Lenovo $1,584
*Plus 8% CB via shopping app and 3% CB from credit card and $100 Lenovo rewards.
