(I have, or had and returned, nearly every clamp out there (one armed woodworking requires a ridiculous amount of clamps and vises. The modern Bessey from the past 8-10yrs have been heartbreaking as a longtime user of their products. So, for $12, you'll get what you pay for. I hope I'm wrong and you all get a great one... but... )

My collection of clamps is rife with trigger clamps that are just plain terrible.
I got these more for those situations where the handle fouls where you are trying to clamp. They seem they would be really helpful in spreading applications, too, assuming you could swap the head around. That's rarely practical with normal bar clamps since you have to fit both clamp heads entirely inside what you want to spread and still have space to actuate it.
