I wear both Costco shoes and these type of shoes. To me, these are better looking and provides better fit/comfort. Not to mention these are specifically made for a certain sport. Bottom line is that one shouldn't compare as the use case and the user base is vastly different.

I bought a pair of these very lightly used from a guy on eBay for $40 and have enjoyed playing in these five times so far. I think these are worth $60 for sure

Everyone on another thread was talking about how an NBA player broke through these and that they don't trust them. All I took from that is the fact these were on an NBA court says enough lol would pick up if I played more

Same question. I need good grippy sneakers for playing pickleball in a wood floored indoor gym. Have super wide feet tho. Can't find any Nike basketball sneakers for wide feet.

I buy my shoes from Costco on clearance for $15-30. I know, complete dad-ness, but this is honestly not a troll and a real question. I could never understand why people spend hundreds of dollars on these. What is it that's so amazing about these shoes?

I'd start with the fact that they don't look like Costco dad shoes. Some people do care about what they look like in public.

I too but cheapo Costco shoes and man sometimes it makes me sad being reduced to dad looks even being a dad and all

The quality of materials, and the R&D make these worth it. Maybe not the retail price, but definitely at this price.
Can you play ball with the Costco shoes? Yes, but these will give you an edge. Maybe not the first 15 minutes. But after an hour or more, you'll feel it.

Do you have a source for this? I asked AI and I got:

There is no evidence that Michael Jordan signs every Air Jordan shoe. While Jordan is involved in the design of his shoes, which keeps him happy as the sponsored athlete and helps increase sales, because consumers have an extra layer of comfort investing in Air Jordans knowing that one of the biggest sports superstars signed off on them
1
, there is no mention of him personally signing each shoe. Additionally, the Air Jordan sneakers are mass-produced and sold worldwide, so it would be logistically impossible for Jordan to sign every pair

Edit: Lol at the downvotes. The voice of reason always gets downvoted.
