It's a well-known, quality brand that has been good over time and probably one of the more popular ones.

It is good-to-great in a few categories that matter most to people:
* Taste: Generally all flavors are pretty good (imo, vanilla ice cream is actually one of my personal favs)
* Mixability: Mixes quite easily and no clumps
* Ingredients: Pretty quality, likely even for up to prosumers, less filler

I don't think it's the best in any individual category, but really good overall.

I think a good rule of thumb these days is $10/lb, so any deal like this less that that is going to get traction.

Before people come out of the woodwork, yes, I know it was much less than that years ago - welcome to the world.

As long as you don't' get moisture in the tub, it doesn't spoil that quickly. Make sure you dry your hands after washing them before scooping!

I drank mine 2 years after expiration and it's still good.

I drink about 4.5 scoops a day. 1.5 scoops 3x a day. It'll only take me 1-2 months to finish this.

Agreed. Two months, give our take. I have half scoop in my first two cups of coffee (1 scoop), then two scoops following the gym 6 day a week, then maybe a small snack shake in the evening - usually go through a 5lb of the ON in about a month.

Not limited to vanilla ice cream flavor. Searching through the optimum store shows it applies to double rich chocolate, and the chocolate whey gold standard as well.
