I'm not sure if you're talking specifically about the 2021 iPad model or iPad as a whole, but I would agree that the 64GB iPad 2021 model is the best in terms of value.

The 5th gen through 9th gen (this one) iPads all had $329 as the introductory price of the most basic, smallest storage WiFi model. But 5th gen through 8th gen all started at 32GB and 9th gen was the only one that started at 64GB. The most recent one, 10th gen, also starts at 64GB, but with an introductory price bump of $120 to $449, but (my opinion only) has very little added value over 9th gen. The timing of this introductory price bump is a little sus too, like maybe Apple is trying to hop on the greedflation bandwagon.

Wired headphones come in very handy. I have to switch to my wired plugs when my wife is listening to something on her IPhone which is most of the time. My AirPod sounds cross over to her Iphone and she loses her I-phone sound. I had to switch to wired.

It's more like apple is testing the waters to see if people will bite on $450 64gb ipad and iphone SE "value". Push people to $800 256gb premium experience for 4000% profit.

Selling a $250 ipad is razor thin profits or lost to get people to buy cloud services and apple care. This business practice is way better than selling crap mediatek tablets and atom windows laptop for ewaste dumping.

They did the same with $1000 iphone X to test the market, too many dumb people took bait in low interest era. Then pushed $1500 iphone pro max

Get the Pixel or One Plus Tablet if you use usbc

If you use iPhone, this iPad is perfect.

Charging isn't issue as ipad has 12-24 hr battery

I'm also curious how the AMEX process works. The only AMEX card I have is my company credit card. Lol. I do have a Chase Sapphire card though if there's a deal that may work.
