Test drove this laptop for a couple of weeks, it's a fantastic productivity laptop with solid casual gaming performance. Great specs for the price and a steal at this price Imo.

Build quality was good, battery life was good, screen was very good (though a bit dim for my liking @350 nits), trackpad is very generously sized. Typing was excellent for this category (good feedback and key travel, scooped keys vs flat)…very noticeable typing improvement vs it's nearly identical intel counterpart which has a mushy keyboard and flat keys with terrible feedback.

The 3050 isn't the best dGPU ofc and it's hamstrung with low Tdp due to size of this laptop…but it's the newer 6gb version and it's miles ahead of any intel integrated graphics, and the integrated Radeon graphics are also better than intel's offering. I was able to play games like LoL at ultra settings and native resolution at 120+ FPS easily….so this is great if you are a casual gamer and don't need the latest AAA titles at ultra settings. Fans are not very loud but noticeable when gaming. Didn't hear them at all during my coding/office suite/internet browsing use.

I really loved the combination of size and power this laptop offered. I returned mine because I wanted more of a desktop replacement, but for someone on the go I really think you'll be hard pressed to find better value than the slim pro 7. I'm gushing over this laptop a lot but that's just because I enjoyed using it so much, part of me still regrets returning it when I look at the 6 lb replacement sitting on my table. Maybe you'll get the one I returned 2 weeks ago lol.

BB also has it on sale new for $899. Lowest I've seen it is during their one day sale for $850, which is what I paid.
Decided to bite on this one. Had been waiting around for the Swift X deal, but figure for a $34 difference, you get:
-Better screen (higher resolution, 90 Hz)
-Better build quality
-Better speakers
-Better performance (as far as benchmarks are concerned)
-Higher wattage RTX 3050 w/ 6 GB VRAM instead of 4 (likely not a huge difference, but still)
-Other niceties like 1080p webcam/Windows Hello, USB4, PCie Gen 4 SSD

Just gotta play the open box lottery - worse case scenario, should be an easy return.

Thanks! Canceled my order for dell I ordered on deal yesterday. Glad I saw that before my window for cancelation was closed and got that instead. Awesome value for Elements and Premiere Editing.

Had this, great laptop for $849. But I grabbed a Samsung book3 pro 360 on open box for $1178 which fit my needs better

This seems like a great deal. Thanks, OP! I was really holding out for a sale on that 16" Acer Swift Edge with the 7840u processor, but for $650 it seems hard to go wrong with this. In for one.

How does this compare to the zenbook 14 oled deal that was on sale for 800 and appears to just gone back up to 1000?

I will try this. Last ASUS zephyrus deal open box deal is so bad. The laptop 13 form factor constantly heats up and blue screen from the day1. Hope this works.

I have the Slim Pro X model (32gb ram too). It's a great laptop. Nice balance of size and weight. Screen looks great and the aspect ratio is convenient and more preferred. Trackpad is nice and large. Keyboard feels nice too.
Only downside is no USB 4 or TB.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS uses the AMD Radeon RX 680M. Good IGPU and DGPU combo. AWESOME deal.
