They're really shamefully selling 6 year old Fire tablets. These are slow when they're new.

edit: shamelessly LMAO
Woot is where Jeffy sells his junk
I wouldn't be surprised if I had actually bought my own Amazon device trade-ins a couple times.

Which generation of Kindle Paperwhite is a good one to buy on Prime day? They have the Kids version which comes with the Worry Free Warranty. Can it be used for Adults since the warranty is a perk?

Yep. Identical to adult one but with warranty and no ads.

I use an old fire tablet for emulating retro games. Performs well, and works with basically any game controller you have

HD 8 2020 for $30 is a really good deal. I wouldnt trust anything older.

I remember a $10 sale on the 2017 2-3 years ago that was FP deal and when it came back everyone was shitting on it because of how painfully slow those older tablets were

Dont think so. I actually like the default FireOS because of the smart home controls it has inbuilt

I got an HD8 last time for something like $25. I thought it would be cool to have a dedicated bluetooth music streamer capable of displaying album art separate from my phone. It's as awesome as I imagined it would be. If I used it for anything beyond a dedicated YouTube Music player I would be disappointed, but as is it was a great purchase.

I have an Ecobee downstairs and it would be awesome to mount this upstairs on the wall as an extended thermostat interface. Wondering how well it would work for that purpose...
