FIX: Create a routine in the app so that at Noon every day, a "custom" statement of "stop by the way" The "by the way" is what Alexa calls most of these annoying notifications.

Every day at noon the echo will say "okay, I'll stop making recommendations." That's your "it's noon" bell.
Also, it will stop all notifications for the MAX time available... 24 hours, which is why it has to happen every day. (Don't pick 1AM or something or the mysterious voice responding "I'll stop notifications" will scare the crap out of you.)

Works great.

Sound is better, at least we think so. So is the connection, which we were losing on the 2nd gen. Music would come in and out We have been excited about the trade so far.

I think we have to wait until prime day. I tried the chat method, and the i got that the daily deal promo doesn't stack with the trade in. This is how I've gotten all my echo devices… trade in + gift card on prime day sale.

I had instances in the past where 25% applied after the trade-in was received by Amazon. But this time it worked instantly

Although a super cool concept, the "Alexa" and command recognition is subpar. I much prefer the Show 8 performance. It kind of reminds me of the original Show 5 performance. I find myself yelling at her quite often.

The "sponsered ads are getting increasing hard to get rid of. So sick of the "Question Of The Day".

I have an 5" and an 8", won't think of getting another or upgrading because of the ads.

The Dots are still okay.

I bought one of these and returned it. The Echo Show 8s that we have are the most stable of all the Echos we have purchased. These "new" Echo Show 10s are total garbage and will not shut up even after turning off all of the features. Eventually you will tell Alex to F off after the 1millionth time she says "would you like to try it"...

We are in the same boat. We tried these and they were the absolute worst of the Alexa ecosystem. I even wrote a really bad review and one of the Amazon/Alexa team engineers gave us a phone call and were completely baffled why we did not think of the new "features" were awesome. I could not believe the arrogance. Not sure what yet but we are moving to a different platform as they die off.
