I've been itching to upgrade my 11th gen Intel platform and these 12th gen deals have been enticing, but I've been on the fence. My assumption has been that LGA1700 is already a dead-end in terms of upgradeability and was kinda leaning toward an AMD build.

But then I came across this article, apparently Intel is sticking with LGA1700 for one more generation. Great news for 600/700 series board owners. Hopefully Gigabyte releases a new BIOS for this particular board (I feel like the chances are pretty good, considering it's a Z series).
