For this price it isn't bad at all, just expect performance not to be what is claimed and you need to install and tweak to get it to even work as advertised as windows may not even use the right cores.
it is very efficient for the power it has.
Looking forward to thus chip regardless if it's bugs are getting worked out. The L3 Cache seems to be great for games. Just need to make sure all the scheduling software from AMD is installed.

Is the CPU for gaming almost exclusively? Get the 7800X3D.
Is the CPU for significant amounts of both gaming AND productivity use? Get the 7950X3D OR the 13900k (depending on if you want a bit more gaming or productivity power respectively since they trade which is in the lead for those things)

It does note it eats considerably less power to perform not THAT much worse than the 13900k, but it does perform worse in virtually everything they tested with the single exception of Premier Pro.
