Some items are for business account only. I score a few 1080ti ages ago at MSRP during shortage, 1080ti was flagship at that moment, it wasn't even showing in stock on my personal account. Also at the beginning of COVID, I was able to purchase cases of mask which is not available to the public. But later on they only sell PPE to medical practitioners.

I'm confused. I've had free Prime on my business account as a perk of my personal account for the past few years. Was that not a regular Prime feature/perk?

Im pretty sure the business account wasn't free with a personal prime account for the past few years.

There is no benefits for business account.
More screwed up for little gain.
Not everything but definitely some great savings on random stuff. I saved $60 on a car seat for my kiddo. An inflatable travel toddler bed is $71 on business and $84 on regular Amazon. If you buy often then checking pricing can pay off. Definitely doing the duo. Thanks OP

I have both and I must say several coupons and deals Only work on individual accounts. Biz accounts get a buck off thr price and that fails any coupon from applying. We have been very frustrated due to that in past. Just sharing for awareness.

I'm not sure how this is different than the free Prime business link program they already had. Nevertheless, I created a new account with the same information (new email, since I control my own email domain) hoping they would send me a couple good coupons.

Having an EIN is the option I used. They do ask for verification, I saw business credit card, tax ID or EIN, and a couple more options that I did not need to get to.

Wrong. Many items are cheaper through Business. On the consumer account I see notifications for lots of items that they're cheaper on Business.

There may be some exceptions but to categorically say everything is more on Business is patently false. You should fact check yourself before posting.
This is the way. Source: Amazon Vendor who offers 3% discount on all business purchases, with additional multi buy discounts.

With the accounts linked, if I am browsing on my personal account I have noticed the site will sometimes tell me if an item is cheaper on my business account or has a volume level discount. Not sure if this is all items but it's super convenient. Additionally, on my desktop, Firefox supports account containers so I can have separate accounts in the same browser without logging in and out. This is pretty useful outside of Amazon too for keeping social accounts separated, limiting data between sites, etc...

Even if I start a business account, I can still receive tax exemption on my personal account where I currently have tax exemption? and as well as the new business account?

There's only a handful of reasons a sole proprietor Needs an EIN, but they are eligible for one regardless of need and it's shockingly easy to obtain one from the IRS website and start using it in minutes. The only caveat is that regardless of the number of sole proprietorships you may start in your life, each SSN can only have one EIN for this type of organization and will use the same one for each company.
I have two EIN and suspect I could have more. I have a business account and am rarely get to use offers mentioned here. for instace, I have rewzrds points I can't use. wish there was clear info on what is available.

Anyone know for sure if this has any negative effect on grandfathered Prime accounts that have multiple adult sub accounts?

Quote from dealshunter77 :
I have such a grandfathered account. Checked with my family account holders, and it seems to be working. Before signing up for Duo, I was worried. Also , I was unable to find the option to check which family members are added, so I'm not sure how long we will still be grandfathered
Sorry for the offtopic question:
I was on the receiving end of such a grandfathered account, but it stopped about a month ago. Can't find the original Prime account holder, CSR says there is no connected account, and I found the old email from Amazon that someone invited you to Prime, but it doesn't have the email address of the donor account. You know of any trick to switch the donor account to someone else? Chats CSR wasn't able to see my prime history and said that can be done through the "Household" but I don't like the idea of sharing the payment methods
Thanks
