52" is perfectly fine for a 12x12 you'll run it on low most of the time. Depending on the ceiling height you may want to consider a low profile. I would avoid these cheap fans if you're a homeowner. Get a fan with a DC motor. I prefer one with a remote not pull chains.
I have mine mounted offset away from the bed. I don't like the fan blowing on me.
3000 cfm should be good for this room size. 48 to 52 inch fan size should provide more than enough circulation for 12x12 room.
I do like a remote though and that one does not have a remote and is not upgradable to one. You could make the lights remote controlled.
