52" is perfectly fine for a 12x12 you'll run it on low most of the time. Depending on the ceiling height you may want to consider a low profile. I would avoid these cheap fans if you're a homeowner. Get a fan with a DC motor. I prefer one with a remote not pull chains.

I have mine mounted offset away from the bed. I don't like the fan blowing on me.

A fan this big needs more than 2 bulbs...going to a pretty dim room if this is the only light source.

3000 cfm should be good for this room size. 48 to 52 inch fan size should provide more than enough circulation for 12x12 room.

The 60" one has a DC motor four speeds and two standard light bulbs so if you want it daylight or brighter just buy such bulbs.

I do like a remote though and that one does not have a remote and is not upgradable to one. You could make the lights remote controlled.

Would the 52 look too big in the 12x12 room?

It sounds like you're very knowledgeable. Would you mind linking one that you reccomend? I'm looking to put a DC fan in 3 bedrooms.

Looks like all it needs is a remote?

Remote controllable and vice versa if so inclined.

I have 3 of these from a previous sale back on 2020. I placed 100w equivalent (15w led) in them for 12x12 rooms and thats enough light and fan power to me. I tried the 60w led equivalent on them and is for sure extremely dim. I have the smaller ones (52") for 10x10 rooms with 15w and my guest told me it was too bright so i swapped it with 75w equivalents leds.

Here is the chart for fan size:

10' x 10' - 37" to 48"
12' x 12' - 49" to 56"
15' x 15' - 72"
Larger - Over 72"
