We had a Bosch fridge growing up. I remember my father was concerned about it being more expensive than other brands. The thing was rock solid - we used it for over 20 years, it was still running fine. It did not have any bells and whistles - no ice maker.

such a bummer...they already "fixed" price...had in cart and paused...although curious from volkovolko if they "honor" the price you got or if they cancel order as it was "in error" etc...??

Less bells and whistles = less likelyhood of repairs.
I think they just used to make them better years ago. Fridges are the only product where the prices have increased and the quality decreased.
I have a 22 year old Kenmore (actually a whirlpool) that is still going strong, with crushed ice and water in the door.. I'm frequently tempted to buy one of the shiny new models, but the old beast still works fine. I'd be pissed if I replaced it and 12 months later I was having the new one repaired.

It's definitely in a weird state. I never got a confirmation email but I see it on my account with the delivery day still on there so who knows. I can message you if you want.

I have other Bosch appliances so I'd like to go with one of their refrigerators. However, when I check them out in stores (including this model), I'm always disappointed by the fit and finish of the interior bins / drawers. The plastic feels very thin and flimsy compared to the 'lesser' brands. Anyone else feel the same?

Honestly, that's only true for the middle 'snack' drawer on this fridge. That's also usually a pet peeve for me and the side bins in the doors seem plenty solid. The rest of the fridge is great too.
