These have been MUCH easier to find over the past few weeks. Rpilocator has been consistently reporting stock daily. Even the Pi 4 has had consistent almost daily stock showing, as I've finally been able to snag a few for projects. The Zero 2 W is the only thing I'm still struggling to obtain.

Yeah, just checked Micro Center's website and my local store has 25+ (!) of these in stock. Definitely look at local options if you have them before committing to a 2-4 week shipping time.

This one still uses the BCM2835 SOC, which came out in 2012. The Raspberry Pi Zero 2W uses the newer BCM2710A1, which is much faster. Unless you're REALLY REALLY need it, I would wait for the 2W version.

Although having the Ethernet port makes it easier for a pihole, I ran it on a ZeroW 1st gen for a year with no issues.
