I have the non-solar eSports (which I snagged off a Slickdeal a while back). Honestly, I forget it needs charging until the bitter end and it goes from almost-dead to full in no time. Great rugged watch with amazingly long battery life.

That said, the Instinct is still in regular use, especially when doing yard work, etc. It's a rockstar watch with gobs of battery life. The 7SS is the EDC, but the Instinct will stay in rotation since it's more than earned it's keep.
All this is to say that this is a great deal for a great watch.

Second, it depends on how much time you use GPS. This is a major power consumer.
Third: it also depends on how much time you track activities. When you start "activity" (cardio, ski, run, whatever), watch goes into a different mode and drains battery more quickly.
In my experience: GPS for 30 minutes/week (5K run) plus 4 hours/week of cardio plus call, text and calendar notifications: about 15 days from 100% to 5%.
The guy was asking about no smart features.
Gps is "smart" feature which eats battery more than anything else on the watch.
My daily Garmin is the Epix2
My big selling factor was the battery life and the solar -- which work just as described. I get about 3+ weeks out of a charge. I'm not using the GPS etc very much but love the bluetooth audio control and the "smart" notifications that I get from my e-mail/calendar/calls/texts... that's as smart as I need and the battery lasts forever even 2-3 years later.
This is a solid device.
