Thanks. Was debating between this and the Costco one frp-1 for anintermediate student. Any suggestions?

They are both pretty similar. I think the frp-1 is basically a FP-10. It has the same keybed as the FP-30x. The FP-30X has more sounds but most people just use the piano sound anyhow so it may not matter.
