Would this be a better deal (given the 2400w for the Delta Max vs 1800w for the Delta 2)? I experience a lot of power outages so it would be used to temporarily power my essentials (e.g. fridge, fan, heater).

Delta 2 + Delta 2 extra battery = Delta 2 Max = 2048wh. So your Home Depot deal is cheaper than this one. By about $40
But Delta 2 Max is expendable with 2 Delta 2 Extra battery, which can be expended to 2048*3wh. If that matters. And there was a deal of two extra batteries for $1678.
