Any guess how soon this will come to Game Pass once the Microsoft/Activision deal closes? I think I want to try this game out, but I hardly played it as a kid and I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy it. The nostalgia factor will be weak for me.

Natively, not at all. It's a Steam PC game, not an Android OS game.
It's not on Geforce NOW, so your only option will be to stream it from your personal gaming PC to the NVIDIA shield.
