I really like Roku's interface and use these and the 4k sticks all over the house. Using Xfinity (Comcast), I only pay for 1 4k cable box while running Xfinity stream app from these Roku devices. Using a mesh system or dedicated access points you can ensure fast connection speeds that will support 4k streaming from Netflix and others.

I have plex server installed on my NAS and stream to this Roku with the plex app

Roku supports almost every streaming app , just google the app name + Roku

I have two of these, they are both several rooms away from the router and they work fine. You may have received a bad box or you may have a router that doesn't work well with these boxes.

These boxes have 56k ratings on Amazon, and 94% of the people gave it a 4 or 5 star review.

I still rent 3 boxes from Xfinity but I also have two Roku devices (a streaming stick and this Express 4k+). Both devices are fantastic and I use them all of the time. I watch a lot of MLB and Pluto TV.

Anyone know if you can buy a voice remote for a Roku tv whose remote is not voice? Can I pair the regular remote to the tv direct?

Do you plan on using any third party apps, aka illegal streams? If not Roku has the simplest UI and they just work. If you're going to do any Kodi or IPTV Roku is out.

Also, there are no third party Youtube Apps for the Roku. You can sideload good ones to the Fire Stick, Chromecase WGTV, or ONN, that block ads.

Firestick 4k Max is only $25 right now, and you can sideload all kinds of apps. You cannot do the same with Roku. I've heard good things about the Onn 4k, I just don't own one myself.
