What scenarios do people use a 6 foot cable? Like I've obviously seen them listed now for years and years, but man ... At most I need like 3 feet ... and really that's a LOT ... I might be able to use that length in the car

When I want to lay on my other side, in bed while still charging.

Bedside- 6ft helps to be able to conceal the cable and snake it around or other items.
Car- if you don't have charging ports in the back seat area you can plug up from and hand it back to passengers.....also I snake the cable from the charger (center console) to my phone mount driver's side dash. Also works for dash cams to hide the cable.

I usually watch twitch or a youtube video before bed. I pack a 10 foot cable any time I'm traveling and more often than not, this length is a necessity. Sometimes the closest outlet to the bed is behind a dresser that automatically eats up 3 feet, plus another 5 or 6 to the bed.
As for a 6 foot C to C cable, the only USB-C port I have in my PC is in the back so by the time it wraps around to the front, having some room extra to lean back in my chair to use it occasionally while it's connected is nice.
