I've used this litter for a cat I adopted because the owner couldn't keep her anymore. She came with a couple of boxes of this litter and I found it clumped well and smelled very good but was really dusty. The cat now uses Dr Elsey because that's what we buy for our other cat. Compared to Dr Elsey, this is much dustier, it clumps about the same but it smells really nice. Less dust is more important than nice smell, so Elsey wins.

Never heard of that brand, but I will be trying it out. I can't farking stand all the dust in the air every time I clean the litter.

For a long time I used the Fresh Step Simply Unscented which claims to be 99.9% dust free. I don't know what they're smoking over at Fresh Step because there was noticeable dust every single time I cleaned or added litter. I tried Dr. Elsey after that which was considerably better on dust, but not great on smell as you noted. Finally on the recommendation of some folks I switched to Boxiecat Pro, which is a probiotic clumping litter. Zero dust and great on smell. It's not cheap, but it's the best of both worlds and worth the extra cost.

I have a single 1 year old cat. I use an open top litter box with an oval shape. I love the clean paws febreze version, it masks smells very well, and doesn't track too bad. It's very easy to scoop for me and rarely sticks because of the curved shape of my box. I never go more than 3 days without scooping. I'm going to stock up because of the deal and try the gain version. There is some dust when initially pouring the litter, or refilling. I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be.
