I tried adding to cart, then clicking coupon and S&S on the cart screen, no luck.
If someone finds a way to do the double coupons please share a better example.

1. Add to cart as one-time purchase
2. On screen that shows the item in the cart, it gives an option to activate 50% coupon, click that. Also click to save 5% on S&S
3. At the final checkout screen, if S&S is selected at 5%, uncheck the S&S. In my case, it then offered 30% to select S&S, so I re-checked S&S and it applied the 30%
It seems like the variable is the amount offered for S&S, and moving it back and forth between one-time & S&S can trigger a bigger discount.

This worked for me as well! 30% additional was shown in cart to subscribe. Thanks!
